Designing for a truck cab: notes from the Loam reports
We tested every page on a phone held at arm's length in a parked truck. Here is what that did to the type sizes.

Loam’s customers read soil reports in a truck, on a phone, often in sun. The office print-out was never the real reading situation.
We set the recommendation at 28 point, dropped the chemistry to the second page and used one colour for anything that needs action.
The test was simple: can you read the first line with the phone on the dashboard? If not, it was too small.
